A fine slender ship's anchor, not cast but cut whole from one piece of silver sheet. Given crushed edges and stippled with a patina of dotwork. Heavily oxidised several times and then part rubbed back for detail. All brought to a high shine. A classic look, traditional but with edge, slender enough for refinement and and robust enough for a statement. Hung on a 16 inch belcher chain. 30mm x 25mm and 1.5mm thick.
Hallmarked consisting of Maker's mark, Traditional Fineness mark, Millesimal Fineness mark, Assay Office mark and Date Letter mark.
'Old Anchor' pendant
Try to avoid wearing your jewellery when swimming, playing sport, gardening, doing DIY or in contact with chemicals, such as household cleaning agents, etc. If you are storing your jewellery for any length of time, wrap it in tissue/cloth and seal in an airtight bag to prevent oxidation. When cleaning jewellery, never use commercial chemical jewellery-cleaners, which invariably weaken the metal and can cause damage. Simply wash in mild soapy water, rinse and wipe clean. Then lightly polish with a soft cloth (a glasses-lense cloth is ideal).
