After training with Nina Gilbey at the London Jewellery Workshop, East London, I started silverskin jewellery in Spring 2017, working out of my own studio in Kent. In September 2018, I was approached by Vogue/Conde Naste, requesting a number of pieces from my collection to feature in the cover shoot for the January 2019 edition of British Vogue magazine. A selection of pieces is also featured in the recent book by jewellers Nina Gilbey and Bekki Cheeseman, Colours and Textures in Jewellery, published by The Crowood Press Ltd.
Combining simple geometry with classic design and urban textures, each handmade statement piece has a contemporary boldness to be noticed and admired.
Using EcoSilver (100% recycled .925 sterling silver), silverskin jewellery is both ethical and ecological, attuned to the various environmental responsibilities we all now share whilst providing bold, clean, statement jewellery for every style and occasion. I also make bespoke custom order wedding rings in silver, yellow/white/rose gold.
The majority of tools used are reconditioned and the bench is handmade, FSC certified. The studio runs off gas/electricity supplied by OVO, the UK's primary supplier of green energy from renewable sources. Packaging is provided by Tiny Box Company and is 100% recycled and CO2 neutral.
All jewellery is Hallmarked, in accordance with the UK Hallmarking Act (1973), at the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office, London. This consists of Maker's mark, Traditional Fineness mark, Millesimal Fineness mark, Assay Office mark and Date Letter mark.
