Inspired by the ever shifting incarnations of Lisbeth Salander, this has an arcing, shape-shifting, darkly sinuous ebb and flow, all fluid curves, bold edges, undulating fissures with a lovely robust weight, the flared spiral subtly unfurling from the top. Deeply bruised, pitted, gouged and scuffed, then wrapped into an open rhythmic splitting fractured spiral, the centre of the silver shaped inward to give the flare prominence. Heavily oxidised and then rubbed back in stages through the body, with the edges polished hard to bring light. All brought to a medium shine with extra lustre at the spiral for contrast. Hung on a 16 inch belcher chain. 40mm x 10mm and 10mm deep.

Try to avoid wearing your jewellery when swimming, playing sport, gardening, doing DIY or in contact with chemicals, such as household cleaning agents, etc. If you are storing your jewellery for any length of time, wrap it in tissue/cloth and seal in an airtight bag to prevent oxidation. When cleaning jewellery, never use commercial chemical jewellery-cleaners, which invariably weaken the metal and can cause damage. Simply wash in mild soapy water, rinse and wipe clean. Then lightly polish with a soft cloth (a glasses-lense cloth is ideal).
