Inspired by Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth, this is large, weighty, striking and brooding, with a darkness suffused with flashes of light. Fluid and sinewy but with sensual robust grace; unsettling, bruised but refined. A real statement piece. Deeply deeply bruised, pitted and scuffed, then wrapped, twisted and overlapped into a flowing shell-like curve, with openings and flared edges. Heavily oxidised and then rubbed back in stages to bring the light. Brought to a high shine with extra lustre at the edges to accentuate the contrast. Hung on an 18 inch belcher chain. 40mm x 15mm and 1.5mm thick.
